019 - Tree Hotel - Mt Kenya Safari Club - L. Nakuru - Masai Mara (6 Days)
Day 1
Leave in the morning to reach the small town of Nyeri for lunch before leaving for Tree hotel of your choice, (Treetops, the Ark or Mountain Lodge) in the early afternoon. All meals and accommodation in a Tree Hotel.
Day 2
Mount Kenya Safari ClubAfter breakfast a short drive brings you to the Mount Kenya Safari Club whose membership includes a host of movie stars. Here you can have a day of total relaxation in the splendid landscape surroundings. Activities available include golf, tennis, horseback riding, and of course swimming in the heated pool. Meals and overnight at the club.
Day 3
During the morning cross the tip of the Aberdare mountains stopping briefly to admire the 73m Thompson fall. Continue to Lake Nakuru for lunch and an afternoon visit to Lake Nakuru National Park where the sight of a million or more flamingoes cannot be forgotten. Overnight at a lodge in the park or continue to Lake Naivasha for overnight at a lodge.
Day 4
Depart for Maasai Mara to arrive in time for lunch, afternoon game drive returning to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5
A full day game viewing and exploration in this Kenya's finest reserve. More than 60 species of wildlife are found here as well as a multitude of birds. All meals and overnight at your lodge.
Day 6
After breakfast return, via the Great Rift Valley, to Nairobi in time for lunch.
DTS 020 - Tree Hotel - Samburu - L. Nakuru - Masai Mara (7 Days)
Day 1
Leave Nairobi in the morning to reach Nyeri in time for lunch. After lunch drive through the forest to a tree hotel of your choice (Ark, Treetops or Mountain Lodge) Dinner and overnight in a Tree Hotel.
Day 2
After breakfast drive north to reach Samburu in the northern Kenya in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive will introduce you to the animals which are found in this area - the reticulated giraffe, grevy's zebra and the somali Ostrich. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 3
Another exploration of this beautiful reserve where game abounds, especially in the forested fringes of the Uaso Nyiro River which flows gently through the dry landscape. Lunch is followed by an afternoon at leisure, perhaps by the pool. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 4
Leave after breakfast and drive past northern tip of the Aberdare mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is located. Visit the world famous bird sanctuary in Lake Nakuru National Park - noted for its huge concentration of flamingoes. Lunch and overnight at the Lodge or proceed to Lake Naivasha where the night is spent at a lakeside hotel.
Day 5
Leave the beautiful lake to drive across the lunar landscape of the Great Rift Valley to reach Kenya's best known game reserve - the Maasai Mara in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive returning to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6
Morning game viewing then lunch at the Lodge. There is an evening game viewing returning to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7
After breakfast return to Nairobi which is reached in the early afternoon, drop off at your hotel/residence
Day 1
Pick up from your hotel and leave for Maasai Mara through the Great Rift Valley arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive returning to the camp/Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Full day game viewing in a mini-bus with pop-up roof searching for black-manned lions, elephants, cheetah, buffalo and other plains game. Dinner and overnight at the camp/Lodge.
Day 3
Morning game viewing with long drive to the Mara River where you will be able to view hippo and crocodiles. Lunch at the camp/Lodge. Afternoon walk to the Maasai Hills where you have a chance to visit the Maasai Villages. Dinner and overnight at our camp/Lodge.
Day 4
After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru driving slowly viewing sceneries on the way arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in this Park where you will be able to view flamingoes and stands a good chance to see rhinos. Dinner and overnight in a budget Hotel/Lodge.
Day 5
Leave for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.
DTS 035 - Ark - L. Nakuru - Masai Mara
Day 1
0800 hours pick up from the hotel and drive out of Nairobi, past business complexes and into the open country where you will see coffee and tea growing. Drive onto Nyeri arriving in time for lunch bat Outspan Hotel. This beautiful hotel was the home of Lord Baden Powell, founder of the Boy Scout movement.After lunch joint the transport which departs for Treetops for afternoon game viewing from the hotel lounge. Treetop overlooks floodlit waterholes visited regularly by buffalo, elephant, eland, and bush pig. Dinner and overnight at a Lodge of choice.
Day 2
After an early morning tea drive to Outspan Hotel for breakfast. Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. After lunch time to relax followed by afternoon game drive in the scenic park, world famous for its millions of flamingos and other bird species. Animals to be seen are buffalo, leopard, lion, water buck, giraffe and rhino. All meals and overnight stay at a Lodge of choice.
Day 3
After an early breakfast drive along the floor of the Rift Valley and turn left to climb up Western wall of the escarpment to arrive in Maasai Mara Game Reserve in time for lunch at the lodge. After lunch time to relax followed buy afternoon game drive in the park. Masaai Mara is home to the highest concentration of animals and it is in this area that the migration of animals takes place between July and October.
Animals to be seen include elephant, buffalo, cheetah, lion, leopard, topi, impala, gazelles and giraffe. All meals and overnight stay at a Lodge of choice.
Day 4
Full day spent in Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. All meals and overnight stay at a Lodge of choice.
Day 5
After breakfast drive back to Nairobi to arrive in time for lunch (lunch on this day is on own arrangement). Later transfer to the airport for departure flight home.
Day 1 Nairobi - Aberdares
Drive to the base hotel for lunch before continuing to your tree lodge for the night. Enjoy nocturnal game viewing as the animals come to the floodlit water hole to drink water and scratch for salt. Overnight stay at a Lodge of choice.
Day 2 Aberdares
After Breakfast at the tree hotel transfer to the base hotel. The day is spent at leisure to enjoy some of the optional activities available at the base hotel. Over night stay at a Lodge of choice .
Day 3 Aberdares - Nairobi
After Breakfast, return to Nairobi.
DTS 038 - Masai Mara - Treetops - Samburu (6 Days)
Day 1
Your drive takes you to the Masaai Mara, Kenya’s most famous park. Rich in wildlife and birdlife, the Mara is home to all the Big Five as well as a wide variety of plains game like zebra, wildebeest, topi and impala. Meals and overnight stay at a Lodge of choice.
Day 2
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drive you will likely spot a wide variety of game. Keep a look out for predators such as jackal, lion, leopard and cheetah. Birdlife is prolific in the Mara watch for the colorful lilac- breasted roller.
Day 3
Drive east north into Aberdare mountain range via Naivasha for a night at a tree hotel. After settling in, relax on the verandah and watch for animals as they come to the waterhole to drink and to scratch for salt.
Day 4
Your journey takes you north to delightful Samburu National Reserve. After lunch enjoy an afternoon game drive. The Uaso Nyiro cuts through the reserve, attracting a rich variety of wildlife in search of water and shade. Leopards are frequently spotted in Samburu, so keep a look out.
Day 5
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives today. Of particular interest in Samburu are the indigenous species as the reticulated giraffe, the grevy’s zebra (look for oversized ears) and the gerenuk which stands on its hind legs to feed from the top branches of bushes and trees.
Day 6
After breakfast depart for Nairobi arriving early in the afternoon, drop off at your hotel.
